My name is Anne, I live in the United States and I am new to both sewing and costuming. I am very shy and a private person for the most part, so I lurk. My idea for joining Live Journal is to learn from all of the talented seamstresses that are apart of this social networking forum. My other interests lean toward the fine arts and my formal education is in academia.

I consider myself a creative person in many ways and I am here because I am interested in expanding my horizons. I have a strong appreciation for current fashion as well as fashion from ages past. I do have a predilection for 19th c French Fashion and Art.
